Facilities:
All of the land around the Moulin is available for use, for walking and exploring, cycling and/or relaxing on a sun lounger with a book.
Sit with a bottle of wine and enjoy the beautiful surroundings or perhaps have a picnic by the river.
A number of picnic tables are dotted around the garden and by the banks of the river. Sun loungers and chairs are all there for everyone to enjoy.
The swimming pool is approximately 7 x 4 metres in size. It is above ground and of wooden construction, in keeping with its surroundings. The pool can be used daily during the summer and also has a decked terrace area for sunbathing.
Next to the pool is our honesty bar 'Beach by the Beek'. Here you can get some nice refreshments.
At the lower end of the garden, the river forms a shallow, wide, slow flowing pool which offers a safe and exciting environment.
For that typical French holiday feeling, we created a jeu de boules court in 2025.
For al fresco cuisine, each gite has a barbecue, utensils are provided in the gite.

At request we can serve breakfast in the morning which you can enjoy in your gite or outside when it's nice and sunny.
At the Moulin, we try to be as "green" as possible. There are dedicated collection bins for glass/plastic/paper/compost and recycling is encouraged.

The beautiful river La Gioune is classified as a 'rivière sauvage' (only 30 in France!), meaning it's a protected river because of its exceptional flora & fauna. Subject to the appropriate licence, you are allowed to fish, but only catch and release (no kill zone).

In our forest, wildlife such as deer and boar are fairly abundant, as are large birds of prey and may be seen if you are vigilant and quiet. Other animals have also been seen, such as pine martens, wild cats, badgers and the occasional otter.
